Authoritarian nations invest in global media to create false narratives and stir conflict within free societies. The hearts and minds of Americans have quickly become a new battleground as nations reach beyond their digital firewalls to cover up gross human rights violations, disseminate false information, and make effective use of social media to interfere in policy debates and create political division.

Americans For Global Engagement approaches these disinformation attempts directly, challenging state-backed narratives head on. Beginning in the fall of 2019, this organization secured millions of impressions in support of the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, including on physical billboards around the USA and in digital campaigns. It continues its campaigns today in support of Taiwan's democracy and the sovereignty of states on China's perhiphery.

As Beijing and others step up their efforts against US society, it’s time to push back.
